About

Gorge Chocolates is just minutes from the 12 Apostles. For over 16 years, they have been well renowned for their delicious, hand made Belgian chocolate treats.

Ian and Angela purchased Gorge Chocolates in 2019. They have re branded the business ‘Gorge Chocolates at the Chocolate Alpaca’.

Why Alpaca? Ian and Angela have owned and run Surilana Alpacas for over 20 years. It is Victoria’s largest alpaca stud and Australia’s largest suri alpaca stud. Now visitors can not only be treated to great chocolate, hot chocolate and coffee, they can also see the large herd of alpacas and llamas. The shop also now has a large array of wonderful alpaca products made from their super soft fleece. The products range from clothing, giftware, bedding and carpets. A new, large cafe is now complete, with great views to the alpacas.

Gorge Chocolates at The Chocolate Alpaca is a proud member of the 12 Apostles Food Artisan Gourmet Trail. Gorge Chocolates is proud to be a member of such a wonderful group of food artisans, that provide a great gourmet experience for locals and tourists visiting the Great Ocean Road and 12 Apostles.

Make sure that you include Gorge Chocolates as a destination on your trip to the Great Ocean Road.
