About the listing
Anybody who has ever backed a trailer needs to have a look at this ramp. Lots of offshore stacks are visible in this sheltered bay. The ramp is used by maverick fishermen providing the only ocean access for boats between Port Campbell and Warrnambool. Don't even think about driving down the ramp, local tow truck operators don`t appreciate the extra business and are notoriously hard to get a hold of when Boat Bay is mentioned.
Location: 4.3km west of Peterborough
- Length: 300m return.
- Time: 15 min
Access Information
- No marked accessible car parking spaces. The trail to the lookout is narrow and unsuitable for prams and wheelchairs. The road is sealed to the top of the very steep boat ramp which also has steps for beach access.
