A Community Conservation Project
Power Creek Reserve is situated in the township of Timboon, just 12km inland from the Great Ocean Road. The reserve follows Power Creek for approximately 2km south of the town. This remnant of natural forest was set aside in the 1880’s for a railway line that was never constructed, it would have connected Timboon to Port Campbell. Today it provides a link between the Curdies River Valley and the Cowley’s Creek Reserve.
The Reserve boasts a peaceful picnic area with tables beside the creek, a children’s playground and War Memorial. There is a car park nearby and it’s also close to the swimming pool and shopping precinct.
The reserve now includes 5km of walking tracks and covers a total of 16.5 hectares.
