post_thumb_4861da.jpg Many journeys to the 12 Apostles start with that first step off a plane, and we are lucky to have two options of where to touch down within reaching distance!

Melbourne Tullamarine International Airport is serviced by 27 international airlines. Tullamarine is 22km away from Melbourne CBD and only 3.5 hours by road from the 12 Apostles; taking the inland route via the A1 Princes Highway.  If you want the full experience of the scenic drive along the Great Ocean Road, leave 4.5 hours for the trip as winding along the fantastic coastline and through the spectacular rainforest takes that bit longer. But there is no argument on whether it is worth the extra hour in the car!

Cobden Airport

Private and charter aircraft can fly into Cobden Airport just 25 minutes drive north of the 12 Apostles. Air and ground travel components are available on request.

attractionsactivities.jpg Booking a domestic flight? Why not check out whether you can fly directly into Avalon Airport, just outside Geelong. Avalon Airport is only 2hours and 15 minutes from the 12 Apostles via the A1 Princes Highway. When taking the Great Ocean Road to the 12 Apostles it saves you time as well, 3 hours 20 minutes total!

Your high flying experience doesn’t have to end in Melbourne! When you arrive in the 12 Apostles region, return to the air on a scenic helicopter flight over the national park and the coastline.  There is no better way to top off a journey than to get an aerial view of how the wild waves and weather are carving into our cliffline and creating a 30km stretch of natural sculpture.
